3rd Edition Of World’s Biggest Open Innovation Model ‘Smart India Hackathon- 2019’ Launched

This year’s Smart India Hackathon which will see over one lakh students from around 3,000 institutions working on challenges faced by ministries and public sector organisations besides also taking up, for the first time, problems faced by the private industry and NGOs.

The third edition of world’s biggest open innovation model was launched by the ministry of human resource development on 29 August 2018. HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said students from IISc, IITs, NITs and AICTE/ UGC-approved institutions will compete to creatively solve problems and offer technical solutions.

While students will get a chance to create solutions for top companies in the world, it would also be a chance for organisations to meet the brightest young minds.
