CBSE to provide digital board exam documents to flood-hit Kerala students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in technical collaboration with National E-Governance Division (NEGD) has developed the first-of-its-kind digital academic repository called ‘Parinam Manjusha’. The academic repository will be integrated with DigiLocker.

In a special gesture to students from CBSE affiliated schools in Kerala, whose board exam documents such as mark sheets/ migration certificates/ pass certificates have got lost or damaged in the state’s floods, the CBSE will provide them with digital mark sheets, migration certificates and pass certificates through the ‘Parinam Manjusha’ portal/ DigiLocker.

Key Highlights:-

1. These documents will also have PKI based QR codes, which means that they can be verified for authenticity using the DigiLocker mobile app.
2. The board exam academic documents are crucial for admission for higher studies and employment.
3. The digital academic documents being provided through the portal will be digitally signed using the digital signature of CBSE’s Controller of Examinations. The digital documents will be legally valid as per IT Act.
4. Overall, there are around 1,300 schools in Kerala that are affiliated to the CBSE.
