Advancing India’s growing engagement with an extended neighbourhood, External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj is undertaking a visit to 3 Central Asian countries – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz & Uzbekistan – from 02 August 2018. This is her first visit to these countries as EAM.
Sushma Swaraj made a transit halt at Turkmenistan where she was received by the Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at the Ashgabat airport on her way to Kazakhstan. Good exchange of views on a wide range of bilateral issues was held.
In Kazakh capital Astana, the External Affairs Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with Kairat Ab-drakh-manov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She will call on the leadership of the country and interact with Indian community in Kazakhstan.
