IOC Inaugurated its $145 Million New Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) inaugurated 145 million Swiss francs ($145 million) named Olympic House in a ceremony. It is held at the lakeside grounds of Olympic House in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Key Highlights:

1. It is inaugurated exactly 125 years after the Olympic Games.
2. The newly built headquarters designed by architecture firm 3XN of Denmark.
3. It is built of 95% of the old materials.
4. The signature feature of the new building is a central staircase.
5. Around 500 IOC employees under one roof.

IOC members gathered in Lausanne to choose the 2026 Winter Games host among Milan-Cortina from Italy and Stockholm from Sweden.
