President Ram Nath Kovind reached Greek capital Athens last evening on the first leg of his three nation tour to Greece, Suriname and Cuba. He is accompanied by a delegation including Minister of State for Steel, Vishnu Deo Sai and two members of Parliament.
During his four day tour to the Hellenic Republic of Greece, President Kovind will meet Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Prime Minister Alexi Tsipras. The leader of opposition, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will also call on him.
During his stay in the Greek capital, President will visit many places of historical and archeological importance such as Acropolis hills, Olympic Stadium and Temple of Zeus. The President will also visit the monument of unknown soldiers and lay a wreath there.
The President is also scheduled to address the Indian community 17 June 2018. Meeting with an Indian business delegation as well as India- Greek business Forum is also on the agenda.
