With 28% rainfall, agricultural produce down by 50% in Karnataka


Failing monsoon and a drought have dealt a massive hit to farmers in Karnataka. While the cities are grappling for water, villagers are battling drought and farmers are bearing the brunt of crop failure. With 50% of the crops damaged owing to scarce rainfall in Dharwad district, the administration has submitted a detailed report to the state government, seeking adequate funds to tackle drought.
